    Job Description

    Summary

    Responsible for day-to-day deployment and support of the infrastructure within Teledyne Controls' Hosted Services environments. This position will be part of the IT Shared Services organization that will interface with Teledyne employees in Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Americas. Reporting to the IT Manager, Services.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

    • Implementation/support of secure infrastructure which consists of networks, servers, databases, applications, and systems within the Teledyne Controls Hosted Services environments.

    • Follow direction and governance from ITSS Infrastructure and Security teams so all systems adhere to Teledyne standards and Teledyne's baseline IT Security Plan.

    • Ensure Setup and availability of business-critical customer accessible systems, focusing on uptime, and security.

    • Ensure the appropriate backup and archive of systems including those holding customer data, based on contractual requirements.

    • Maintain procedures/systems to ensure appropriate access control to customers data.

    • Explain highly technical solutions to non-technical staff, crisp clear communication, and ability to explain solutions and how they provide value.

    • Maintain system integrity and security, ensure monitoring and maintenance of component inventory, lifecycle management.

    • Create and maintain documentation relating to systems; networking architecture and setup/deployment.

    • Monitor effectiveness of existing systems. Provides improvement plans and recommendations.

    • Arrange monitoring and reporting of system health and performance.

    • Provision servers, deploy software, ensure appropriate software installations, and software upgrades/patching.

    Education and/or Experience

    Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar disciplines; one (1) to three (3) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Computer Skills

    • Must have experience of implementation, and support of:

    • Windows Active Directory Domains

    • Windows Server and Client systems

    • Must have an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Apps: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

    • Preferred skills (but not necessary):

    • AWS experience

    • VPC; EC2; Security Groups

    • Transit Gateways, Storage Gateways

    • S3 buckets synchronization

    • Cloud Formation/AWS CDK

    • AWS Systems Manager

    • Cloudwatch

    • Backup/Archiving solutions E.g., Veeam, with S3

    • Setup of PKI digital certificates and public-key encryption

    • Implementation/support of OKTA SSO

    • Implementation/support of Linux systems

    • Implementation/support of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktop (XenApp/Presentation Server)

    • Knowledge/ability to program and Script in Windows Batch/PowerShell/JSON/YAML

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position, and hours of work are Monday through Friday within one hour plus/minus of 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position may at times require after hours work and at times require long hours and weekends or holiday work reflecting workload and deadlines.

    Location and Travel

    Normal place of work will be based out of El Segundo, CA, Eagan, MN or Thousand Oaks, CA.

    Salary Range:

    $74,800.00-$99,880.000

    The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
