Responsibilities

Under the direction of the section Lead Technologist or designee the laboratory assistant is responsible for laboratory support activities. The primary functions include but are not limited to performing phlebotomy (blood collection by venipuncture or capillary) on all patients working with LIS and HIS processing of all types of biological and medical specimens and performing clerical and reception duties in the laboratory office. Medical terminology required. High School diploma. One year experience in the laboratory office. Phlebotomy certification required

Qualifications

One year experience in the laboratory office. Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in healthcare industry 1-2 years of experience with a minimum of 1 year in area of related field Complete annual safety training. Complete and maintain department specific training. Phlebotomy certification required. Medical terminology required. Medical terminology required. Phlebotomy certification required

Pay Range

$21.94 - $25.49 /hour
