    Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the-art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford's 100 years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On's 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world's best battery manufacturer.

    About the Opportunity

    The Training and Development Leader is responsible for facilitating manufacturing development activities in manufacturing facilities. An effective Training and Development Leader will leverage an understanding of adult learning theory, their process management experience, obtaining, delivering and executing curricula. They will play a vital role supporting BlueOval SK's vision of providing world class learning and development activities.

    The Training and Development Leader will work closely with plant operations to coordinate onboarding activities / training for new hires and ongoing training for existing plant personnel for new skills and capabilities required for new technology. The Training and Development Leader will also work with operations providing analysis of employee capability as required.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Provide learning and development process leadership using established training standards, process, and tools to:

    • Facilitate plant learning & development related committees

    • Annually review, identify, and document compliance training needs at the individual, department, and plant level.

    • Review and get approval for annual learning & development plan with Plant Safety, Environmental, HR Manager and plant Controller's office

    • Forecast, execute and report status of annual Learning & development plans to HR Manager, OCM and Manufacturing L & D.

    • Manage, enter, and report completion data in corporate Learning Management System

    • Evaluate impact / effectiveness of Learning & development Activities (Data collection, analysis, and reporting)

    • Ensure the plant has the required facilities and equipment to satisfy learning & development program needs.

    • Effectively schedule, facilitate the delivery and execution of learning and development activities.

    • Monitor effectiveness / certification (if required) of internal and external learning & development facilitators

    • Employ project management and learning & development tools to support new product launch, technology adoption or process changes as appropriate:

    • Support development of the staffing plans

    • Develop learning & development plans in concert with HR, Operations and/or Launch Team

    • Execute learning & development activities within projected budget.

    • Ensure that:

    • Appropriate training systems are in place to support launch training activities.

    • Training specifications are utilized by suppliers / OEMs, other providers of learning activities.

    • Product Specialist Group (PSG) and Tooling and Equipment Group (LSTS) programs are prepared to support launch learning & development activities.

    • Follow established PSG & LSTS training curriculum guidelines to prepare PSGs and LSTS' for new roles in launch

    • Implement, assess, and report all launch training and follow VO & PTO related launch tasks and deliverables (LQOS Tasks 116 & 203 and Plan for Every Person (PFEP), respectively).

    • Ensure trainer coverage and all learning materials, multimedia visual aids and other presentation materials are available

    • · Maintain training records in accordance with all internal / external regulations and laws, to support the overall structured manufacturing training program while ensuring the latest revisions of training materials are being delivered

    • Utilize Learning Management System (LMS) to coordinate / track / assign training, create training reports and enter training / compliance completions

    • Perform training audits to ensure training requirements are being followed

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree

    • 3+ years classroom facilitation experience

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Experience working in a manufacturing operations environment and delivering instructor led classroom and virtual training to manufacturing personnel

    • Demonstrated experience in organizational learning and development, training, human resources, or a related discipline

    • Familiarity with Learning Management System (LMS) and ability to learn how to create coordinate, schedule, and track training processes.

    • Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, facilitation and influencing skills

    • Learning and Development certification or advanced degree

    • Validated self-starter with the ability to work independently and complete expected work in a fast-paced high pressure and dynamic environment

    • A history of implementing positive change with a tactical approach

    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a matrix organization taking direction and support from multiple levels of leadership.

    • Validated tenure building relationships across organizational departments and reporting structures

    • Past success interfacing with company leadership, internal and external customers, and teams outside of your reporting structure

    • Proven ability to quickly learn new programs and processes.

    • Strategic mindset focused on Continuous Improvement

    • Demonstrated history of building trust by creating an environment where honesty and integrity are the standard

    • 2 or more years of experience with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

    • A history of success as a highly motivated people leader with a passion for training, and proven understanding of adult learning theory, impeccable project / program management skills exhibiting a high level of professionalism to support manufacturing employee development activities.

    Additional Information

    Travel is expected throughout 2024 to the TCAT Center in Jackson TN and Kentucy.
