  • Hiring for a large facility in Brooklyn, working with long term and short term care.

    Seeking an LPN!

    Description

    Must haves

    at least 6 months of LTC experience

    must hold NYS LPN license for a minimum of 6 months.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Endorses, interprets and enforces the objectives and procedures of facility and the Nursing Department.

    2. Plans, directs, coordinates, delegates and evaluates the activities of all nursing personnel within assigned area.

    3. Conducts daily rounds.

    4. Reviews resident care plans for appropriate goals, problems, interventions, and revises as needed, based on identified nursing needs.

    5. Ensures the continuity of care by informing supervisors and staff of unit status and related matters through written reports and verbal communication.

    6. Conducts daily conferences with unit staff to review specific patient care, and to communicate and interpret recent policy and procedure changes.

    7. Extends courtesy to all unit visitors and assists them to contribute to the emotional needs of all patients.

    8. Coordinates with appropriate personnel to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available on assigned unit.

    9. Provides consultation for unit personnel; resolves immediate problems, and communicates action to Unit Supervisor.

    10. Maintains records, files, and reports as directed.

    11. Assumes additional responsibilities as delegated by the Supervisor.

    From what we know of onsite so far from candidate

    Week 1: M-W 8:30am-4:30pm ALL classroom based. Learning procedures, protocols, and EMR

    Week 2 (which could the Thurs/Fri of 1st week into the weekend): Buddied up on 1st shift to learn floor rules and orient to the specific floors itself

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    Rehabilitation experience

    experience supervising support staff

    experience working with elderly population
