As part of our ambitious plans for the New Lunar Transfer Vehicle (LTV) program, we are seeking a talented Technical Lead - Electrical to join our dynamic team.

    Job Description: As the Technical Lead - Electrical for Axiom Space's New LTV Program, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of electrical systems for our lunar transfer vehicle. Working closely with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and designers, you will lead the electrical engineering efforts, ensuring the successful integration of power, avionics, and communication systems for our lunar missions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Technical Leadership: Lead a team of electrical engineers in the design, analysis, and testing of electrical systems for the New LTV Program.

    2. System Architecture: Develop and refine electrical system architectures, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and performance across the lunar transfer vehicle.

    3. Component Selection: Identify, evaluate, and select electrical components and subsystems, considering factors such as efficiency, weight, reliability, and cost.

    4. Integration and Testing: Oversee the integration of electrical systems into the overall spacecraft design, coordinating with other engineering disciplines. Plan and execute comprehensive testing procedures to validate system performance and reliability.

    5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges related to electrical systems and propose mitigation strategies to ensure mission success.

    6. Documentation and Compliance: Generate technical documentation, including specifications, schematics, and test plans. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

    7. Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to achieve project objectives and milestones.

    8. Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and continuous improvement in electrical system design and implementation processes, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

    • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

    • Proven track record of designing and integrating complex electrical systems for aerospace or similar high-reliability applications.

    • Expertise in power distribution, avionics, RF communication, and/or digital signal processing.

    • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle) and simulation software (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

    • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD, NASA-STD, and ECSS, is desirable.

    • Experience with spaceflight hardware development and/or certification processes is a plus.
