  • Description:

    Seeking an experience controls technician in a fast paced, food production environment.

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of automation systems.

    • Develop and implement PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programs for various equipment and systems.

    • Perform diagnostics and repair of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic control systems.

    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize system performance and reliability.

    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all maintenance activities

    • Develop and implement improvements using the Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to prevent reoccurring equipment failures.

    • Lead in establishing predictive electrical maintenance initiatives for focused lines in the department.

    • Lead in enhancement of existing equipment to improve line effectiveness.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent

    Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field or equal on-job experience

    Minimum of 3 years of experience in controls maintenance and PLC programming.

    Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.).

    Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.

    Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

    Person must be able to program and troubleshoot Panelviews, Servos and related control networks.

    Person must be able to maintain needed software on laptops used for troubleshooting.

    Intermediate Level
