As a Welder, your primary responsibility is to fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the precise application of various welding techniques. You'll interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding methods, materials, and equipment. Your role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and strength of the welded components, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform various types of welding, such as arc, gas, TIG, MIG, and brazing, to join metal components according to specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine the layout and welding process necessary for the job.

• Prepare surfaces for welding, including cleaning, degreasing, and grinding, to ensure proper adherence and quality of the weld.

• Set up welding machines, selecting appropriate welding tools, materials, and equipment based on the requirements of the job.

• Inspect welded joints and structures to detect flaws, defects, or deviations from specifications, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

• Adhere to safety procedures and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment

• Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including materials used, welding parameters, and project timelines, for documentation and quality assurance purposes.
