    Position Description

    • Assists with material movement process.

    • Loads and unloads company vehicles, supplier vehicles, and common carriers.

    • Visually inspects for damage, verifies deliveries, signs and dates Bills of Lading.

    • Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials received, moved, or shipped and reports inconsistencies with the business computer system.

    • Enters receipts into business computer system, completes paperwork and reports to document receiving activities.

    • Places items to designated location through use of forklift and other warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, dollies, hoists, etc.).

    • Delivers supplies, equipment, merchandise, and other items to appropriate departments or personnel.

    • Works closely with other materials staff including planners and buyers.

    • Assists with inventory management of packaging materials.

    • Assists with maintaining an organized work area.

    • Assists with managing waste streams, including cardboard recycling.

    • Ensures workplace safety and workplace organization (5-S).

    • Willing to participate in continuous learning opportunities as part of job and personal development.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Prior material handling experience desirable.

    • Prior experience in cycle counting desirable.

    • Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

    • Language skills: read and comprehend and interpret documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, short correspondence, and memos. Able to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations. Able to write routine reports.

    • Must be able to become forklift certified within 30 days of hire.

    • Able to use computer and learn business computer system.

    • Must have a valid State driver's license.

    • Able to lift 50 lbs.

    • Prior experience with Microsoft Office systems (Outlook, Word, Excel)
