  • Description

    • Schedule patients for office / clinic visits

    • Prep rooms with required materials for visit

    • Room Patients

    • Work alongside 1 provider with an additional MA employee (3 total providers. 2 MAs/1 Doctor ratio)

    • Take vitals, weight, height, Blood Pressure, medical history

    • Work with patients family/caregiver for collecting information

    • Enter all data into EMR system-Allscripts

    • Schedule follow ups as needed

    • Workers Compensation

    On the rare occasion they might need to float to another location if they're short staffed. They would be notified ahead of time. Will happen once they go perm

    Hours: m-f 8am-4/5pm Need to be flexible if patient has a later scheduled appointment and provider needs them to stay and assist

    Qualifications

    Must Have: Medical Assistant Schooling/Diploma/Cert ,externship or work exp, immediate Care or Urgent Care background .

    Strong computer skills EMR, strong communication skills, and strong knowledge of giving report/debrief to a medical professional

    Strong communication skills, close attention to detail

    Nice to Have: entry level MA right out of schooling/certification, will also consider a PCT or EMT. Need to have a Medical Cert.

    Nice to be Bilingual in Spanish/English
