    You will perform operations related to the calibration and testing of manufacturing equipment and certification of controlled environments to support manufacturing of radioactive drug products. Calibrates and maintains all critical instrumentation used in this role to maintain traceability to NIST. All operations must be performed in accordance with federal regulations, current Good Manufacturing Procedures and GEHC Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Policies.

    Job Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Calibrate and review calibration checks for product/process manufacturing equipment.

    • Equipment used in the measurement of weight, temperature, pressure, dimension, and flow (i.e., balances, weight sets, RTDs, pressure transducers, micrometers, manometers)

    • Equipment used for the quantification of radioactive isotopes (i.e., ion chambers, multi-channel analyzers, scintillation detectors)

    • Maintain all calibration history files for manufacturing equipment.

    • Perform periodic reviews and updates of calibration SOPs and department records.

    • Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment and instrumentation as required / assigned.

    • Troubleshoot equipment with the facilities maintenance department on repairs that arise.

    • Assist Maintenance and Engineering team members on site projects and initiatives.

    • Ability to write Investigation Reports , deviations, and Unscheduled Work Orders based on calibration and PM findings that may receive FDA review.

    • Ability to pass all gown qualifications is required to perform work in manufacturing clean room environments.

    • Responsible for compliance with radiation safety procedures, including individual dose management.

    • Work closely with outside manufacturing and facility/equipment support contractors.

    • Complete all planned EHS, Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.

    • Comply with all applicable Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality System Requirements (QSR's).

    Required Qualifications:

    • Associate degree plus a minimum of 1 year experience working a Metrology role or in a healthcare or related manufacturing environment; or High School diploma plus a minimum of 2 - 3 years working in a Metrology role or in a healthcare or related manufacturing environment.

    • Microsoft Excel experience and be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and possess good computer knowledge.

    • Possess strong mathematical aptitude.

    • Ability to multi-task and work independently with strong communication/reporting skills

    • Must be able to perform shift and weekend work as required to support site operations.

    • Ability to climb stairs, ladders. and work at heights.

    • Ability to routinely lift up to 35 lbs. and use material handling equipment.

    • Ability to wear and work in protective clothing, including respiratory protection qualifications, confined space entry and clean room environments.

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Associates degree plus 2 - 3 years' experience working in a cGMP manufacturing environment.

    • Trained as an Occupational Radiation Worker with experience handling radioactive materials and radioactive isotopes.

    • Experience with ISO 14644 and the certification of ISO5 and ISO7 Hoods, Isolators and Clean Rooms.

    • Experience / understanding of Lock Out Tag Out procedures.

    • Previous experience in roles requiring strong attention to detail.

    • Ability to create spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, analyze and process data.

    • Experience with purchasing programs and communication skills for obtaining quotes and processing orders for calibration of department instrumentation.
