Mid-Level Security Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Security Engineer to join the Info Sec division of a large organization specializing in educational technology. This team is responsible for overseeing a specific line of business that provides credential services to students and alumni. They are actively working to improve code visibility across the development team to enable the security org and others to find / resolve application vulnerability quickly. This induvial will assist with moving the data from Github to Sumo Logic through preexisting pipelines and pipelines that the Engineer will develop as needed. The Engineer will also work closely with the Principal Security Engineer to understand his proof of concepts and ensure that everything runs smoothly through deployment. This team is looking for someone who is solution oriented, able to resolve or escalate roadblocks quickly, and has a desire to work in a very collaborative environment.

Skills and Requirements

* 4 years of experience with GitHub specifically:

* Performing tasks with Actions, Workflows, and Synk Deployments

* Building reusable libraries

* Strong experience taking proof of concepts and implementing them for deployment

* Knowledge of how Java code is compiled and experience using build tools such as Maven or Gradle

* Experience working within an Agile environment * Prior Production Engineer or Application Security experience within a DevOps environment

* Experience with the following technologies:

* GitHub Advanced Security

* Sumo Logic leveraging webhooks and JSON payload

* CodeQL null
