    Position Summary:

    The Network Engineer position is a technology practitioner, responsible for the implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure, network operations, and technology solutions in use by Core-Mark at all company locations across United States and Canada. This individual will serve as a technical resource, participating in a team in support of a "connected" experience for our associates. The individual will participate in all troubleshooting and/or triage and resolution efforts should the network experience any type of failure or incident.

    The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to use professional oral and written communication along with strong analytical and critical thinking skills to successfully take ownership and drive technology problem or incident management. Effective and collaborative interactions with colleagues, end users, IT leaders, and business stakeholders is critical to ensure success. The candidate should be an effective change advocate, possessing the ability to understand the impacts of technology transformation. As a first responder to incidents, the Network Engineer needs to demonstrate a positive, friendly, and empathetic attitude with their team members and internal associates.

    Responsibilities:

    • Technical support engineer for network infrastructure and the connected experience for all employees

    • Implements and supports all enterprise network infrastructure

    • Contributes to the implementation of a resilient, secure and scalable network

    • Ensures the resiliency of all network devices (routers, switches, wireless access points, VPN, VoIP)

    • Technical support for all hosted voice infrastructure (VoIP)

    • Contributes to opportunities and initiatives that improve process and technologies across operational disciplines

    Requirements:

    • Ability to travel to Dallas-Fort Worth as needed

    • 3+ years of Cisco networking support in large, multi-site enterprise

    • 3+ years of Cisco network hardware configuration management (routers, switches, VPN/IPSec)

    • 3+ years supporting all Cisco VoIP infrastructure in a large, multi-site enterprise

    • 3+ years supporting enterprise deployment and support for secure Wireless

    • 3+ years of operations support where incident management and metrics are emphasized

    • 3+ years of TCP/IP application, inclusive of LAN and secure WAN implementation and support

    • Cisco CCNA-level or equivalent proficiency certification required

    • Strong analytical skills with incident and problem management

    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including executive presentations

    • Highly collaborative, willing to help colleagues and business partners

    • Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, which fosters an enablement culture

    Desirable Skills:

    • Cisco design and configuration management of a highly resilient and secure network

    • Cisco Call Manager (VoIP)

    • Cisco Wireless networking

    • Systems resiliency and integration experience (multi-site, geo-dispersed)

    • Collaboration platforms expertise (Microsoft Teams)
