    General Summary

    Perform various Human Resource duties to include payroll for the accounts, filing, receptionist functions and provides support to management team. Assists with training and tracking training hours. Provides outstanding customer service and maintaining a good image for J&J.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible.

    • Answer the phone to take messages or redirect calls to appropriate colleagues.

    • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail (envelopes, packages, etc.)

    • Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers etc. and computers for word processing and spreadsheet creation.

    • Monitor payroll data for completeness and submit Davis Bacon payroll.

    • Undertake basic bookkeeping tasks and issue invoices, checks etc.

    • Complete work schedules, manage calendars.

    • Process and prepare documents, such as business or government forms and expense reports.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

    • 2+ years' experience in a clerical position

    • Familiarity with office procedures and basic accounting principles

    • Working knowledge of office devices and processes

    • Proficiency with MS Office

    • Strong knowledge of office procedures and basic accounting processes

    • Outstanding communication and organizational skills

    • Customer-service oriented

    • Able to lift 20 pounds

    Working Conditions

    • Be able to stay in one area for extended period of time, may require to push, pull, stretch, kneel as needed.

    • Be able to lift 25 lbs.

    • Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc., but generally not to the point of being disagreeable.
