  • Our client, a prominent player in the automotive and building technology sector is seeking a Operations & Maintenance Specialist III to join their team.

    Role: Operations & Maintenance Specialist III (Temp-to-Perm)

    Location: Grand Forks, ND 58202

    Duration: 3 months+ (Temp to Perm)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC, Mechanical Systems, building maintenance, carpentry, painting, and plumbing.

    • Working knowledge of Electrical / Electronic BAS, and other similar types of related equipment and systems is a PLUS.

    PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

    • Service, Repair, Maintain, Monitor and Adjust HVAC systems to keep within allowable parameters.

    • Performs a variety of service work, general maintenance, and custodial activities. This may include carpentry, painting, plumbing, minor grounds keeping, along with facility repairs to building systems, electrical fixtures, appliances, and equipment.

    • Provides direction and training to less experienced O&M Specialists.

    • Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service, repair, and preventive maintenance work.

    • Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.

    • Requisitions new supplies and equipment.

    • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

    • Is required to participate in an on-call rotation schedule to attend to emergency situations at the facility.

    • Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.

    • Perform other duties as required

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Completion of a two-year technical degree, equivalent or two years' experience as an Operations & Maintenance Specialist II plus 5 years' experience in a Facility Maintenance environment.

    • Ability to maintain all HVAC systems (AHU's, Chillers, DX sys, pumps, cooling towers, boilers, etc).

    • Working and operating knowledge of Metasys (BMS).

    • Ability to operate and troubleshoot Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems.

    • Knowledge in building Security Systems to include card readers, surveillance cameras and electronic locking systems a PLUS.

    • Requires Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification.

    • Working understanding of UPS and Generator systems.

    • Proven Electrical system working knowledge a PLUS.

    • Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs requests.

    • Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, operate machinery, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.

    • Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

    • Required to use a variety of hand and power tools or man lift.

    • May be required to possess a valid driver's license.

    • Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.

    • Must be able to pass a thorough background check and subject interview.
