Job Description

Sage is currently seeking an exceptional Paralegal to support the company's continued growth. We are looking for collaborative, self-motivated individuals who want to make an impact as a member of the Commercial Legal Team based in Atlanta. The Legal Team is responsible for providing legal support to the company focusing on cloud computing, software licensing, data privacy, dispute management, as well as general corporate matters.

This is a fast paced and varied role, where you will be providing guidance on a variety of subjects, including intellectual property, data protection, corporate activity, compliance and sanctions issues, Sage's products and technology and supporting Sage's suppliers and customers.

You'll also support the success of the business by developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

How success will be measured:

The goal of this role will be to provide an excellent level of pragmatic legal support to all colleagues across the organization out of the Legal Service Center, while effectively managing legal risks. This will contribute to the overall success of the business.

What you can expect in the first 90 days

During your first 30 days at Sage, you'll complete all general onboarding activities and introductory trainings, ensuring a smooth entrance into the company and meeting key stakeholders. By the 60-day mark, you'll have gained confidence in handling day-to-day tasks and collaborate with your manager to establish future measures of success, including OKRs. Finally, at 90 days, you'll have a comprehensive understanding of your role's expectations, with the ability to work independently within the Legal Service Center while still receiving support from your team.

What you will be involved in

Your responsibilities will include conducting legal due diligence and research, reviewing customer and supplier contracts, and participating in contract negotiations with third parties. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to deliver timely legal advice and engage in ongoing improvements to legal processes and procedures.

You'll need to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders at different levels, demonstrating strong research skills and meticulous attention to detail in your work. Bring your 1-3 years of relevant experience to contribute to our dynamic legal team!

Hybrid work arrangement (fully remote until our new office at Ponce City Market opens, then 3-days on-site and 2 days remote). Paralegal Certification preferred.
