Patient Financial Advocate

Supporting the Associate Director of Admissions in the Patient Financial Advocate Unit Inpatient Auth Unit

• Scheduling in/out patients for appointments to various clinics

• Verify and enter patient demographics

• Verify insurances for Medicare and PPOs including co-pay information, familiar with HMO, IPA, and PPO

• Reach out and notify payors, obtain authorizations, fax notifications, and support case management team as needed

• Through training , they will be expected to Utilize their knowledge of ICD-9, CPT Codes and medical terminology as they input medical data into the system.

• Process pre-registration and cash collections

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

2-4 years in Healthcare

Must have knowledge of authorizations and insurances (Medi-Cal, HMO, IPA, PPO)

MUST HAVE EPIC experience
