    We are offering an exciting opportunity for a meticulous and organized Payroll Manager to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the accurate calculation of wages, tax withholding, and company deductions. You will also be responsible for reviewing and verifying payroll tax data and ensuring the resolution of payroll-related issues. This role is instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our payroll operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate closely with company leaders and employees to ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholding, and company deductions.

    • Regularly process organizational payroll as per the identified pay cycle.

    • Review bi-weekly and off-cycle pre-process payroll registers and reports for accuracy.

    • Continuously review payroll tax data, notices, and filings.

    • Verify all wage tax rate notices and communicate changes to appropriate stakeholders.

    • Review payroll tax returns prepared by third parties for accuracy and reasonableness.

    • Resolve errors and respond to all inquiries in a timely manner.

    • Implement quality controls to ensure the integrity of the payroll system, including dual-control procedures.

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of city, state, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll.

    • Resolve payroll inquiries with excellent customer service and a positive attitude.

    • Assist in special projects as assigned and contribute to team efforts.

    • Maintain confidentiality of payroll information to promote employee confidence.

    • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and other relevant software for efficient payroll management.

    Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites is essential.

    • Demonstrated experience in Multi-state Payroll management is required.

    • Familiarity with 'Payroll - Multi-State' processing and regulations is needed.

    • Knowledge of Local Payroll Tax is crucial.

    • Experience with Payroll Taxes at various levels is a must.

    • The ability to manage and supervise a payroll team effectively is necessary.

    • Strong organizational skills to ensure payroll operations run smoothly.

    • Excellent communication skills to liaise with other departments and employees regarding payroll matters.

    • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and employee privacy.

    • Ability to stay updated with changing payroll and tax regulations.

    • Capacity to handle payroll-related queries and resolve issues promptly.

    • Proven ability to work to deadlines and handle pressure during payroll processing periods.
