Payroll Specialist

Description

We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to oversee all aspects of payroll processing with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, managing employee data, resolving payroll discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees

Calculate wages, deductions, and overtime accurately

Manage and maintain employee payroll records

Process and reconcile payroll taxes and deductions

Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters

Stay up-to-date on payroll regulations and compliance requirements

Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate employee data

Assist with payroll audits and year-end processes

Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries

Requirements

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role

Strong understanding of payroll processing and regulations

Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and Microsoft Excel

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Knowledge of labor laws and regulations

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus
