SMX is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to work with our ISV partners to help accelerate their journey into the public sector space. Our Principal Consultants own the overall responsibility for the success of our customers, helping them navigate challenges and achieve the desired outcomes for their business. This particular role will work with established SMX ISV customers that are continuing to grow their public sector market share. Successful candidates can help customers see around corners and can translate high-level business objectives into tactical plans for execution by our delivery teams. This individual will collaborate closely with our internal managed services and federal accelerator product teams to advocate for the needs of our customers and help steer the development and enhancement roadmap for these core offerings. This role is expected to drive revenue growth for SMX as well as our ISV partners. This position is based in Washington DC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary liaison and escalation point for assigned customers and accounts (generally 1-4 customers)

• Hold ultimate accountability for delivery success

• Work collaboratively with delivery teams (project managers, technical resources, security specialists) to ensure successful project delivery

• Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues, escalating in a timely fashion when needed

• Communicate customer needs to product ownership teams for various internal solutions and own the customer feedback loop

• Maintain existing customer install base and grow revenues for SMX and our customers through successful delivery

• Build deep relationships with customer and develop a deep understanding of their business, their competitive landscape, their strategy and understand how SMX can help them achieve their desired outcomes

Required Skills:

• 15+ years of consulting experience with 5+ years of account oversight / program management experience

• 10+ years of technology consulting

• Working knowledge of Federal security authorization regimes (FedRAMP Moderate/High DoD IL 4/5, NIST 800-53, etc.)

• Demonstrated ability to drive customer success and revenue growth

• 5+ years of experience in the AWS ecosystem with 1 or more AWS certifications

• Working knowledge of SCRUM / Agile methodologies

Desired Skills / Certs:

• Experience working with or in software companies (ideally in a SaaS environment)

• Program or Division level P&L ownership experience

• Deep knowledge of AWS and familiarity with the broader AWS ecosystem
