    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Raytheon Industry 4.0 - Smart Digital Factory and Automation (SDF&A) has an immediate career-growth opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative Software Systems Engineer team member to join our Team. As a Smart Digital Factory Developer, you will be a key contributor to design, development, integration, and testing and deployment of advanced IIoT / Industry 4.0 technologies. Additionally, this role will perform root cause corrective action (RCCA) for any software issues identified in the SDF&A products in the manufacturing factory while supporting data analytics and data visualization efforts. The role will work in close collaboration with digital factory engineering, chief engineers / architects, front end of the business, and SDF&A / factory leadership and will include all aspects of the product development lifecycle - planning, requirements, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment.

    ** This position is onsite at our Tucson, AZ; Andover, MA; McKinney, TX; or other major factory locations and may support occasional remote work. Must be available for infrequent (approx 10%) travel to other Raytheon U.S. locations **

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Contribute to IIoT continued growth and deployment by working with sensors, gateways, connectivity solutions, APIs, and data analytic platforms.

    • Provide recommendations and execution on methods to connect manufacturing equipment to IIoT layer network

    • Ability to set communication protocols and network configurations on network devices (EIP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT, etc).

    • Analyze and correlate large, complex data sets; support digital thread implementation; develop and execute analytics reports and visualization toolsets while ensuring data integrity.

    • Contribute to major team projects as well as work with minimal oversight to solve complex problems

    • Supporting SDF&A Automation & Engineering Systems.

    Basic Required Qualifications

    • 8+ years related experience, to include significant Ignition SCADA development using combination of tools such as: SQL, Python, HTML5, JSON, scripting and dashboarding.

    • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance and who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    • Experience with Industry 4.0 key concepts - connectivity, data collection, cloud, IIoT, systems integration, AI, machine learning.

    • Experience using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus/TCP, MQTT, EIP, SECS/GEM, etc.

    • Experience with data analytics with skills that demonstrate ability to prepare, process, analyze, and visualize significant amounts of information from multiple data sources.

    • Strong communication, troubleshooting, project management and collaboration skills; experience working across organization boundaries.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Ignition gold certification

    • Experience with Splunk!, PowerBI, GraphQL, Tableau, SQL Server, SAP, Eyelit, Windows Task Scheduler Automation, NI LabVIEW, TestStand and SystemLink

    • Experience in distributed controls, cyber security, creating web applications, IT infrastructure integration or other related fields

    • Familiarity with Azure DevOps services framework

    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)

    • Strong communication, troubleshooting, project management and collaboration skills; experience working across organization boundaries.

    • Understanding of automation systems (robots, vision systems, PLCs, etc.) deployment and integration

    Typical Education requirement

    • A University Technical Degree in Science, Engineering, Math, Computer Science

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
