    Job Summary

    The Principal Infrastructure DevOps Engineer will be responsible for supporting the current traditional Linux based "on premises" VMware environment; with the emphasis and focus to migrate these existing systems to more of an "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC) environment in efforts to modernize. The ideal candidate will have a skillset that spans across traditional on premises VMware based systems as well as experience in transforming these systems to, and supporting emerging DevOps solutions in an Agile environment for our customers.

    We are seeking this Principal Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to support on premises work in our Aurora, CO location.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate

    • You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of DevOps solutions.

    • You will support software tool customization and automation including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program needs.

    • You will assist with migration from legacy code repository (ClearCase) to BitBucket.

    • You will assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as Terraform/VMWare or other related toolsets.

    • You will assist with design/architecture/development and support of build/test pipeline and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on premise computing environments.

    • You need the ability to obtain Comp TIA Security + (CISSP) Certification within 90 days.

    • You will assist engineers with DevOps/ IaC tool usage and issues, leveraging experience, industry standards and best practices.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 8+ years of related work experience.

    • An active and transferable TS/SCI government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    • Experience with Linux System Administration such as RHEL 6.0+ or other related.

    • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe or other related.

    • Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines such as Jira / Jira Service Management or other related.

    • Experience with Automation frameworks such as Chef/Ansible or other related.

    • Experience with code repository systems such as ClearCase or other other related.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience implementing Scaled Agile Frameworks.

    • Container development and orchestration such as Kubernetes or other related.

    • VM provisioning such as VMWare or other related.

    • Experience with programming languages such as Python or other related.

    • Experience with scanning tools such as Nessus or other related.

    • General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization.

    • Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration.

    The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
