Global Manufacturer is seeking a direct-hire Product Development Engineer. This position is located near Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Product Development Engineer will conceptualize, evaluate feasibility, design, and develop new and/or significantly improved products.

Salary is commensurate with experience ranging up to $95K, plus an opportunity for a bonus, pension plan, and other great benefits! All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

responsibilities

• Develop and design new products in an efficient and timely manner - scope to include belt fasteners, application tools, light duty belt conveyor products and accessories, as well as belt fabrication equipment

• Follow approved product development process to conceptualize, evaluate feasibility, design, and develop new and/or significantly improved products to meet design requirements and features list

• Develops technology and product concepts through R&D and other market research activities

• Coordinate with tool room to provide direction for, and functional requirements of prototypes, special equipment, and tooling designed for product lines

• Define and coordinate both internal and external (field) testing to understand product requirements as well as validate and verify new designs
