Purchasing Assistant

Description Robert Half is looking to staff a Purchaser with our rapidly growing client! The Purchaser will negotiate contracts with vendors for the best price and value on new products and services. Are you an experienced purchaser with superb communication, inventory management and analytical skills? Then this may be the role for you.

Major responsibilities

• Engage with new vendors and products at events, shows, and exhibitions

• Write reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses

• Report any issues with delivered products in timely manner

• Engage with vendors and clients to negotiate contracts

• Maintain inventory and refill stock as necessary

• Research and analyze potential services, vendors, and products, with the goal of getting the best price and quality

• Work with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time

• Maintain all records of purchased products

• Attend and contribute to meetings with staff and other stakeholders Requirements - Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

• Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

• Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Excellent organizational skills
