Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is looking to hire a Staff Quality Engineer to support S&GS.
The selected candidate will apply quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as
they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
They will also perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
Collaborating with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
Engaging in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
Ensuring corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
Developing strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
Evaluating quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducting product quality tests, performing statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Engaging in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.
Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.
Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and insures responsible parties meet commitments.
Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.
Interfaces with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues.
Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.
This position will be located at a facility that requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications:
STEM related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
-9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
-Selected candidate must be a US citizen and have the ability to maintain a Secret security clearance

-SAP Experience
-Root Cause Analysis tools application
Desired Skills:
Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline highly preferred
Electronics and Manufacturing Environment Experience
Green or Black Belt Certification
AS9102 interpretation and application experience
Proposal and Sustainment Experience
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
