Pay rate: $21 - $23/hour

8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance with HACCP and GMPs for all operational activities

• Conduct sampling and analytical testing of products

• Monitor and maintain raw materials, in-process and finished product traceability log

• Liaise with production in monitoring production processes to ensure proper operational setting

• Keep log of analytical data of all laboratory analysis

• Prepare samples aseptically for customers and external laboratories

• Prepare samples for sensory evaluation

• Conduct environmental monitoring sampling, GMP audit and glass and brittle plastics audit

• Perform daily plant GMP audits ensuring that plant sanitation is conducted according to Master Sanitation Program/ Schedule to meet the expected standards.

• Give product release approvals and prepare certificate of analysis

• Conduct calibration and maintenance of lab equipment

• Prepare reagents for chemical analysis

• Train and supervise the sanitation workers

• Other jobs as assigned by Plant Manager

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• BS degree in Science

• 0-2 years' experience in quality assurance, preferably in the food industry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of laboratory tests and analyses.

• Knowledge of laboratory terminology and equipment

• Knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures.

• Ability to handle samples and laboratory equipment.

• Strong mathematical abilities

• Meticulous attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong computer knowledge, including the ability to effectively use MS Word, Excel and Access

• Must be able to perform tasks and make decisions/communicate under tight timelines

• Ability to speak English
