    Koniag Professional Services , a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead with a Public Trust Moderate Risk Clearance to Support KPS and our government customer in Arlington, VA.

    Koniag Professional Services is looking for a professional Quality Assurance Lead to be part of a team that will be charged with meeting or exceeding the needs of a government client. The Quality Assurance Lead will have overall responsibility for the performance of the software test plan development and execution.

    Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

    • Documenting and reporting product or service quality levels

    • Developing and implementing standards for inspection

    • Developing a workflow for product inspection

    • Developing plans to help a company manage waste.

    • Communicating with other team members to solve problems.

    • Following up with the appropriate channels when mistakes are found.

    • Training other quality insurance members on all inspection processes

    Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Experience developing and implementing efficient and effective testing strategies, test conditions and test scripts for projects.

    • Proven ability to ensure appropriate testing coverage and requirements traceability through the creation, implementation and enhancement of comprehensive test plans, test cases/user stories, test steps and test automation.

    • Proven experience testing in Agile Software Development environment.

    • Experience defining clear expectations for all testing tasks, including input and outputs.

    • Experience implementing test tools to support automation and performance testing.

    • Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, scripts, and creating test data for Agile Software Development team; including functional, integration, regression, data integrity and stress testing as well as assisting with user acceptance.

    • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including successful outcomes of achieving completed user stories and associated test criteria.

    • Experience identifying gaps and deficiencies in business requirements, technical specifications, designs and testing documentation for completeness and testability.

    • Experience tracking defects and reporting key metrics for proactively identifying areas for improvement.

    • Experience coordinating the setup of test environments for all planned test execution activities.

    • Experience managing the change processes such as build promotions to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production environments.

    • Proven ability to decompose requirements into detailed test cases for functional and regression test execution.

    • Understanding of software testing types and methods to support Agile Software Development

    • Technical proficiency with SQL includes the ability to create queries to validate data integrity and other data constraints.

    • Proven ability to facilitate effective interaction and coordination between government Project Leads

    • Proven ability to identify resource constraints and other potential schedule issues and risks.

    • Experience implementing testing and configuration management methodologies to support continuous integration.

    • Experience managing integrated teams to support sprint planning.

    • Must exhibit critical soft skills including:

    • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.

    • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders.

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree with eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment.

    • Certifications must be achieved within six (6) months after contract award:

    • 508 certifications

    • Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) certification

    Working Environment & Conditions

    This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

    The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
