    The Wahpeton, ND location is seeking a Quality Technician to join our team.

    In this roll you will develop, implement and manage quality processes and procedures that support company quality initiatives and ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Perform required testing and record and maintain test results

    • Identify, select and prepare material for testing

    • Perform characteristic and durability testing on manufactured material and products

    • Maintain test results in appropriate files and databases

    • Assist with maintaining the quality inspection and testing program for manufactured products.

    • Work with Production personnel in addressing quality issues

    • Recommend and assist in the implementation of corrective action

    • Respond to employee problems and questions concerning product quality

    • Utilize the Quality Incident Report as a quality metric and improvement tool

    • Maintain QIR documents, data and folders

    • Assist in determining nonconforming material quarantine or disposition

    • Follow up on Corrective Action responses

    • Perform inspections and audits on manufactured products

    • Verify inspection report data

    • Participate in the preparation of ISIR and PPAP documentation

    • Provide a "quality presence" on the production floor

    • Perform receiving inspections and audits on purchased materials

    • Inspect incoming material and components

    • Inspect assemblies returned from subcontractors

    • Appropriately identify and release compliant items for production use

    • Appropriately identify and quarantine nonconforming products

    • Participate in the examination, evaluation and disposition of warranty items and rejected materials

    • Conduct audits to ensure processes and products meet implied quality and performance standards.

    • As Lead Auditor (after Certification) or as part of an Audit Team

    NOTE: Certification requires either formal audit training or Audit Team member participation in a minimum of 6 audits.

    • Assist in maintaining calibration of instruments and measuring devices used in manufacturing

    • Keep appropriate personnel informed of important developments, potential problems and related issues necessary for effective management

    • Communicate plans and activities with others, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.

    • Perform related work as apparent or assigned

    • This role is an internal only position, external applicants will not be considered for this role

    • Highschool graduate or equivalent

    • Familiarity with inspection equipment, methods and techniques

    • Able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of company personnel

    • Must meet functional job description requirements for Quality Technician

    • Working knowledge of quality policies, programs, methods and procedures

    • Superior knowledge of products, applications and customer requirements/peculiarities

    • Thorough understanding of production capabilities and limitations

    • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability

    • Demonstrated ability to work in a logical, systematic manner

    • Prompt attention to and effective follow-through on all production quality concerns

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to plan, organize and complete duties in a timely manner

    • Ability to maintain the respect of others as a competent Quality Technician

    • Frequent sitting ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day

    • Frequent standing ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day

    • Frequent walking ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 hours per day

    • Occasional reaching ranging from .25 to 2.5 hours per day

    • Occasional bending/stooping ranging from .25 to 2.5 hours per day

    • Occasional lifting weights ranging from 0-50 pounds .25 to 2.5 hours per day

    • Will never be required to lift anything over 50 pounds without assistance

    • Occasional pushing/pulling ranging from .25 to 2.5 hours per day

    • Continuous fine manipulation ranging from 5.5 to 8 hours per day
