    The Business Analyst (BA) plays a critical role in the successful redesign and product management of the Firm's intranet. Working closely with a small team of designers and developers, the BA translates feature requests and designs based on stakeholder feedback and user research into actionable user stories and test cases.

    Skills and Requirements

    Requirements Gathering

    o Collaborate with stakeholders, UX designers, and product manager to understand business needs and gather detailed requirements.

    o Have a user-focused approach to requirements gathering, ensuring stakeholder goals are met while user needs and realities are considered.

    o Ensure requirements are thoroughly documented, maintained, and communicated.

    User Story Creation:

    o Translate business and design requirements into well-defined user stories and prioritize based on business value and impact.

    o Conduct thorough analysis of feature requests to ensure all possible use cases are met.

    o Work closely with developers, designers, and product manager to ensure alignment with project timeline and goals.

    Test Case Development:

    o Create comprehensive test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.

    o Collaborate with QA specialists to validate system functionality.

    o Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to verify intranet features.

    Agile Methodologies:

    o Apply agile principles (Scrum, Kanban) to manage project backlogs and sprint planning.

    o Facilitate backlog grooming sessions and sprint reviews.

    Proprietary Software Adaptation:

    o Understand and work within the constraints of an intranet built on proprietary software (i.e., SharePoint).

    o Collaborate with designers and developers to find creative solutions while adhering to system limitations.

    Communication Skills:

    o Understand how to effectively communicate with different team members (stakeholders, designers, developers) based on their specific roles and needs. null
