  • Description We are seeking a diligent and dedicated individual to join our team as a Patient Registration Clerk in Lower Lake, California. This role involves managing patient visits and scheduling for our home health and hospice agencies, which serve communities across California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington. The successful candidate will be responsible for staffing visits, maintaining patient schedules, and communicating necessary information to relevant staff members. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.

    Responsibilities

    • Staff patient visits for home health and hospice care, ensuring appropriate personnel are assigned for each visit

    • Record and communicate patient schedules to staff members in a timely and efficient manner

    • Schedule new patient referrals to appropriate clinicians based on patient location and clinician skillset

    • Assist with changes in staff schedules and reassign patients as necessary

    • Maintain on-call coverage schedule and ensure all disciplines and clinicians are assigned in the clinical point of care system

    • Notify billing department staff of non-Medicare insurance patients and their care schedules

    • Communicate relevant patient information to appropriate staff as needed

    • Support other administrative roles as needed, including the Home Health Patient Associate

    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements - Proficiency in scheduling and coordinating patient visits, including home health and home care visits

    • Experience with insurance procedures, including medical coverage, billing, and understanding of Medicare

    • Ability to perform clerical duties efficiently and accurately

    • Experience in handling referrals to appropriate personnel

    • Familiarity with clinical trial operations and the ability to handle related tasks

    • Proficiency in administering vaccines and vaccinations

    • Knowledge of various therapies including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy

    • Experience in hospice care and the ability to coordinate relevant services

    • Familiarity with Elite software for patient visit coordination

    • Knowledge of medical conditions such as mumps and the ability to handle related patient care.
