    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Screw Machine Job Setter to join our team. As a Screw Machine Job Setter, you will play a crucial role in setting up and operating screw machines to produce components according to specifications.

    Responsibilities:

    • Set up screw machines according to job specifications, including adjusting tooling, collets, cams, and other machine components.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, or materials.

    • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.

    • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.

    • Load raw materials into machines and perform machine start-up procedures.

    • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

    • Collaborate with production team members and supervisors to prioritize work orders and meet production deadlines.

    • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.

    • Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

    • Document machine settings, production output, and any issues encountered during production.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Experience as a Screw Machine Operator or similar role, with expertise in setting up and operating screw machines.

    • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.

    • Experience with precision measurement tools and quality control techniques.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced production environment.

    • Effective communication skills and proficiency to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.

    • Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
