    What You Will Do :

    Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Acquisition Specialist to support all pre-award procurement activities to help a federal client successfully award a $100M+ service contract. This work includes developing a sound acquisition strategy and planning framework, performing market research and analysis, creating a complete and compliant acquisition package, serving as an advisor for proposal evaluations, and helping the government identify the best value solution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal procurement, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead/support the development of high-quality acquisition work products.

    Primary responsibilities include the following

    • Work within a small team and report directly to the Acquisition Subject Matter Expert Team Lead.

    • Support the development of all acquisition work products required from acquisition strategy and planning to contract award.

    • Serve as a liaison between the program office and office of procurement and work closely with legal and other stakeholders on all pre-award activities.

    • Identify opportunities to apply best practices or innovative acquisition techniques to improve procurement efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Support development an acquisition strategy and plan that leverages performance incentives and disincentives for vendors to promote agility, program innovation, and accountability for delivering outcomes.

    • Perform market research and industry engagement activities (e.g., sources sought, request for information, industry days, etc.) to better understand and document industry capability, capacity, and interest to perform the work.

    • Support the facilitation of requirements development sessions, elicit stakeholder feedback, and create work products to clearly articulate the government's program objectives, desired outcomes, technical requirements, operating constraints, and more.

    • Clearly define performance metrics to hold vendor(s) responsible for delivering results.

    • Support development of the independent government cost estimate to determine a fair and reasonable cost to perform the work and serve as a baseline to evaluate vendors' price proposals.

    • Support development of solicitation documentation, including but not limited to, Sections B, C, J, L, and M.

    • Support the source selection planning and analysis process and serve as an advisor to help determine which vendor(s) solution offers the best value to the government.

    • Help navigate the potential use of a collective bargaining agreement.

    • Help manage the acquisition milestone schedule. Help monitor and track acquisition progress and provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

    • Perform quality assurance reviews on written work products.

    • Ensure compliance with Federal and agency-specific acquisition regulations and requirements.

    • Communicate with all levels of an organization and support the development of engaging and dynamic briefings for senior executives.

    • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

    What You Will Need :

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

    • Bachelor's degree

    • THREE (3) years of acquisitions experience

    • Ability to perform work at the client site located in Washington, D.C. TWO (2) days per week

    What Would Be Nice To Have :

    • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance

    • Federal acquisition experience across multiple federal agencies, leveraging best practices and innovative approaches to develop solutions for complex procurements.

    • Experience leading or supporting federal acquisition management projects, with a focus on pre-award activities.

    • Strong knowledge of the federal acquisition regulation, policies, and processes.

    • Experience mentoring and coaching clients with limited acquisition knowledge and advising on acquisition policies, procedures, and work products.

    • Experience leading or supporting client-facing meetings and engaging clients at various levels, some of whom are high-level executives and political appointees, with diverse perspectives.

    • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

    • Ability to navigate complex business environments and manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

    • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

    • Ability to write and edit reports, create briefings for senior executives, research and write articles, and customize content for various audiences.

    • Experience developing high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

    • Proficient use of the suite of Microsoft Office products.
