    Description

    This is a hands-on project management role; expected to develop end to end (E2E), track and manage detailed project level timelines and critical path schedules for all new launches, including phase in of new artwork or component. This role is a Business Process Driver - empowered to properly assess the projects' objectives, complexity level and develop the best strategic path forward for efficiency and success. Work from project kick-off through all development stages, being a neutral cross-functional process driver. This is a hybrid role, in-office 2 days a week.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead, drive and manage the end-to-end innovation planning and project management. Create timelines and hold cross functional key stakeholders accountable, escalating delays, issues or concerns as appropriate

    • Problem-solve obstacles to execution of work requests and negotiate new time schedules, ensuring all consequences are understood.

    • Lead, manage, schedule and attend project-related meetings including kickoffs, Cross-functional status, brainstorms, ensure the right people are seeing the right things

    • Work closely with Brand Managers, Product Development, Packaging and Supply Chain to understand scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan and timing for new initiatives; responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive project status tools.

    • Lead the integration of the multi-functional team and leverage our innovation processes for speed, efficiency and productivity with quality execution.

    • Collaborate with multi-functional partners to deliver a feasible brand innovation strategy ensuring COGS targets and timing is being met

    • Coordinate communication and recommendations with functional leadership (across Supply Chain, R&D, Brand Marketing and Commercial)

    • Deliver Initiative Success by outlining business objectives and expectations, deliver project success criteria

    • Establish long-term planning, resourcing and efficiencies

    • Act as a hub within the team with a clear understanding of priorities, requests, and available resourcing

    • Create timelines for all marketing components and work closely with cross functional marketing and sales team to ensure deliverables are on time.

    • Support Director of Brand Marketing on additional projects as needed

    Requirements

    • Highly collaborative and inclusive and have a demonstrated ability to work across a full range of internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

    • Have a track record of breaking down silos and an ability to manage and lead through influence

    • Project management experience - 6+ years project management related experience is essential

    • Experience within Beauty is preferred

    • Experience managing timelines and new product development processes in hair or related industry

    • Understanding of production environment & interaction of packaging, process, manufacturing and impact of each area on the others

    • Additional background in planning/purchasing/technical environment also beneficial

    • Demonstrates a strong sense of individual accountability

    • Makes decisions balancing intuition and fact without jeopardizing timelines

    • Learns from successes and failures, looks for and reapplies best practices

    • Embraces and accelerates change in a fast-paced environment

    • Understands components of COGS and tradeoffs necessary to hit targets

    • Is capable of driving the business in a profitable & sustainable way

    • Adapts leadership style to situations & people, finds the right balance between delegation & control
