IaC Software Engineer

Our client, a global IT leader, is seeking an IaC (Infrastructure as a Code) Software Engineer to join their enterprise global project team. As a Software Engineer you will work with a global, premiere Engineering Team, Customers, Project, and Product Managers on the creation of premier Lab infrastructure projects.

Job Title: IaC Software Engineer

Location: Remote within the U.S.

Pay Range: $55-60/hr W2 (no C2C)

Contract: Long-term/ongoing

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Configuration Management solutions (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform)

• Familiarity with modern Linux systems and tooling, including SystemD and basic network configuration, essential management, and troubleshooting.

• Automated testing, esp. using libraries such as PyTest and tools such as GitHub Actions or other CI or QA tools.

• Manage large scale virtualization buildouts (ESXi, KVM, HyperV, Xen)

• Good understanding of concepts and protocols such as the OSI Network Model, the TCP/IP stack, HTTP and REST APIs, CRUD operations, virtualization (KVM, vSphere) and containerization (Docker, Podman), SQL (esp. PostgreSQL)

• Continuous Integration (Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI, GitHub Actions)

• Linux system administration experience

Requirements:

• 7+ years of provable experience in developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Code

• Expert level Python

• Virtual lab tools such as CML2/VIRL, GNS3, eve-ng, etc.

• CI/CD and IaC tools to include at least GitHub Actions and Ansible

• Continuous Integration (Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI, GitHub Actions)

• Linux system administration experience
