About This Role

This Software Engineering role is within Textron System's Land Systems division working with unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) products. Our team is made up of talented engineers and technicians passionate about solving challenging engineering problems in a marine environment. This role will provide the opportunity to travel with our craft to waterfront test sites in support of software and system integration and development.

We believe people should love what they do - in this role, you will be responsible for:

• Providing engineering support on both current and next generation technologies in support of our family of UGV products

• Participating in software development of new products across all phases of the product lifecycle from concept development to lab and offsite integration and evaluation

• Opportunities include embedded control systems and operator interface development

• Working cohesively on a multi-functional team with exciting technologies and products

• Leadership and individual contributor growth roles are available

• Offsite integration and test support

• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Software

• Minimum of 2-3 years relevant software engineering work experience

• C/C , C#, Python, and/or Java programming experience

• Object Oriented Design (OOD) experience

• Experience with TCP, UDP, Serial, or CAN network programming

• Experience developing on Linux Operating Systems

• Experience developing and troubleshooting remote / headless systems.

• Travel up to 25% of time.
