Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Software Engineer / Research Scientist to join our team! In this role you will get to support research and development in deep neural networks and reinforcement learning methodology of machine learning.

This work will include both individual and team-oriented research applying reinforcement learning algorithms within neural networks, performing experiments and implementing changes to code bases, and collecting and documentation of the results. Understanding of software optimization and data analysis methods is extremely beneficial.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Experience with Linux systems and using Python, Bash, and source control/software repositories is essential for this role

• Interface with a team of software engineers and scientists to develop, test, and integrate software

• Participate and in some instances leading peer-review and documentation of generated software

• Contribute to research publications and projects for the customer

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with the SDLC, and development/application of requirements to code creation

• Ability to work individually and in a team environment

• B.S. / M.S degree and typically 3-5 years of directly related professional experience

• Active Secret clearance

• U.S. Citizenship is required

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Proficient with scripting languages such as Python and Bash

• History of working with deep neural networks and reinforcement learning algorithms

• Experience with software version control/repositories such as GitLab and Bitbucket

• Knowledge or experience with high-performance computational clusters is beneficial

Salary Range

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
