Sr. Accountant

Description

We are seeking a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper / Accountant to join a growing construction company in the Woburn, MA area. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our financial transactions and maintaining accurate records using QuickBooks Online. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles, particularly in the context of the construction industry.

• Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice generation, billing, and collections.

• Process payroll accurately and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.

• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Monitor cash flow and financial performance to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

• Assist with budget preparation and tracking to ensure alignment with financial goals and objectives.

• Coordinate with external stakeholders, including vendors, clients, and financial institutions, to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
