Sr. Accountant

Description Key parts of the role include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities

• Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

• Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests

• Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

• Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives

• Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP Requirements

• 5+ years of overall general accounting experience

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Experience with ERP systems

• The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Proven knowledge of financial reporting

• Quality experience with account analysis

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Practical knowledge of bank reconciliations

• General familiarity with Review Invoices

• Wide ranging experience with Business process improvement

• Strong familiarity with Construction Cost

• Well-founded grasp of budget forecasting

• Previous experience working with financial auditing

• Earlier work involving fixed assets

• Good understanding of Corporate Tax Compliance

• Experience with journal entries

• Foundational knowledge in general ledger

• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

• Skilled at time management

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

• SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
