SR. QC Analyst Chemist

Pay: $90,000-110,000

Direct Hire Opportunity

Location: Middlesex Country

Key Responsibilities

• Perform GC and GC-MS analysis for quality control samples, fragrance compounds, essential oils, and chemical compounds

• Evaluate FT-IR and develop methods using GC and GC-MS for the best identification of essential oils and chemicals

• Work hands-on with GC-MS for source cleaning, regular maintenance/calibration/validations, and updates to existing MS libraries

• Extract and duplicate finished fragrance products

• Assist senior evaluators and perfumers with key chemical and essential oil information related to extractions and identifications

Education & Experience:

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biology

• 5+ years of experience in the Flavor & Fragrance Industry or a related field with a deep understanding of Essential Oils

Skills and/or Physical Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate using both written and verbal communication with diverse work groups, including customers and internal employees

• Team oriented, yet able to work independently

• High degree of organization, prioritization, problem-solving, and initiative

• Good computer skills with ability to understand and work with all current GC-MS database systems

• Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with clear communication both in verbal and written form

• Works well independently

• Excellent organizational skills

• The ability to multitask in a busy environment
