Sr. Software Engineer(full stack/Tools/SRE)

Job Description

Disney/Hulu Streaming is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their team supporting infrastructure teams migrating Advertisements to different platforms.

• You are a full stack engineer who can effortlessly navigate between the backend and frontend."

• You'll provide guidance to junior engineers.

• You will be an important part of a lean DevOps and automation culture.

• You'll write automation tools to support developers deploying and running cloud infrastructure.

• You will implement and execute best practices and security standards for operating in the cloud.

• You will contribute to a library of shared terraform modules.

• Work with infrastructure tooling and be a good resource for forming cloud infrastructure as code.

• Provide support to dev teams for our tooling and platform.

***role will first focus on building a UI for their internal SWEs/devs; it's a n internal onboarding workflow that needs to be rebuilt. Then the client would like to engineer to serve as a more traditional Infrastructure Tools engineers, building tools used by the SREs. This team serves as the in-between the legacy Hulu SWEs/SREs and Disney's larger SE organization.

Skills and Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role, showing progression in the engineers career(job stability)

• Frontend experience required to build the UI: Expert level JavaScript ~~~/Remix.run, TypeScript, Tailwindcss

Redux (or other state management tools), Jest, React Testing Library,

~~~/Express

• Strong server-side scripting with Go, Python,

• 7 plus years of experience with AWS(highly preferred) or GCP/Azure

• 7 plus years of experience with deployment pipelines such as Spinnaker/Gitlab/CircleCi

• Minimum 7 plus years of experience with Python or Go(at the engineering level)

• Strong full-stack engineer

• 5 plus years of experience with AWS, Terraform(Infrastructure as Code)

• 5 plus years of experience with deployment pipelines such as Spinnaker/Gitlab/CircleCi

• Experience with Airflow, Istio, Unix/Linux systems

• Last 3 to 4 years serving as a lead engineer on projects, assigning tasks and mentoring junior engineers - Ad-platform

• Start-up experience(as this team is legacy Hulu) null
