    My client is a rapidly expanding company specializing in climate control solutions, with multiple divisions contributing to their success. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, they strive to provide top-tier services in their industry. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This role will support the Assistant Controller and Divisional Controllers in various accounting functions essential to the financial health of the company.

    Position Overview

    As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day accounting operations of our company's divisions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level accounting professional to gain valuable experience and grow within our organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

    • Reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

    • Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP standards.

    • Help manage the monthly close process, including preparing accruals and adjusting entries as necessary.

    • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering data and performing analysis under the guidance of senior finance team members.

    • Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and support as needed.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues, resolve discrepancies, and improve financial processes.

    • Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    • 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

    • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software; experience with QuickBooks or similar software is a plus.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
