This position is for candidates with the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Candidates who can participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes will be preferred for this role. Do you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets? You'll be preferred for this role.

The salary range will be $60,000 - $65,000 DOE with the potential for LONG-TERM GROWTH opportunities!

Major responsibilities

• Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

• Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

• Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

• Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on

• Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

Requirements - Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Skilled with ERP systems

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Strong attention to detail

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
