Staff Accountant

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant near downtown Dallas. This role involves a broad range of accounting tasks, from processing accounts payable invoices to full cycle accounting, closing the books, accruals, bank reconciliations, and assisting in process improvments. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team in a thriving industry and will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices with appropriate allocations.

• Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team members and controllers.

• Assist in weekly cash, forecasted cash, AR, and sales reporting.

• Contribute to month-end close activities, including reconciling AP, AR, intercompany, and accrual accounts.

• Process journal entries and allocations.

• Assist in analyzing inventories and cost of goods sold.

• Aid in the preparation of month-end financial statements.

• Contribute to the annual budgeting process.

• Assist with the annual external audit and tax compliance process.

• Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements - Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant.

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in handling Bank Reconciliations.

• Must have worked with General Ledger.

• Proven ability to manage Journal Entries.

• Must be familiar with Month End Close procedures.

• Proficiency in using NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP will be an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of Accruals, Monthly Accruals, and Expense Accruals.

• Must have experience in Full Cycle Accounting.

• Experience in payroll processing and management.
