We have a client seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual for the role of Manufacturing Cost Accountant. A successful candidate will have a background in manufacturing cost accounting, with expertise in managing Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Bill of Materials (BOMs) using GP Dynamics software. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential for success in this role.

salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience in manufacturing cost accounting, specializing in managing Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Bill of Materials (BOMs) utilizing GP Dynamics software.

• Prepares and records journal entry transactions to facilitate month-end closing procedures.

• Oversees closing activities and fixed asset functions across all company entities.

• Conducts detailed analysis of general ledger accounts and provides support during quarterly and annual closings, including preparation of schedules for annual audits.

• Coordinates and conducts valuations of physical inventory cycle counts.

• Ensures efficient closure of monthly inventory accounts, meticulously reconciling to maintain accuracy.

• Identifies and implements workflow enhancements to optimize operational efficiency.

• Possesses knowledge of MS Visio or similar software for process visualization.

• Performs additional duties as necessary to support departmental objectives and meet company deadlines.
