    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Procurement Supervisor recruits, develops and manages all procurement associates that enter customer purchase orders and reconcile electronic order errors. While leading the buying team in continuous improvement of procurement performance through the analysis of daily buying activity, the Supervisor continually analyzes changes or new issues in supply to reduce cost, improve quality and/or improve schedules. This team plays a critical role by ensuring that orders are entered and errors are resolved to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and four (4) years' purchasing experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

    • Two (2) years' as a leader with formal supervisory authority. Application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management and disciplinary action.

    • An understanding of the healthcare industry and an extensive knowledge of healthcare products with an in-depth knowledge of procurement processes in a healthcare environment.

    • Demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and manage others to achieve business results.

    • Experience utilizing SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) or material requirements planning (MRP) systems.

    • Strong knowledge of supply chain operations' functions and processes (Plan, Source, Deliver, Return).

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively gather, organize and analyze data using MS Office or other applications.

    • Excellent communication, time management and organization skills.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Supply chain management education (APICS, CPM or other).

    • Process improvement or quality management experience or education (Six Sigma, Lean, ASQ).

    • Knowledge of the Diagnostic Laboratory organization, businesses and processes.

    • Additional related education and/or experience.
