  • Amentum is seeking an Intermediate Systems Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our customer, Project Manager Intelligence Systems & Analytics - Army (PM IS&A). This position is in direct support to the Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) Team.

    Duties:

    • Provide systems and software engineering support for the Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) product line with an emphasis on the engineering skills and knowledge required to assess, and analyze large, complex systems and their integration into future Army strategic or tactical systems.

    • Provide software engineering support to PM IS&A for the full software life cycle of a product line.

    • Provide systems engineering services and subject matter expertise to validate technical and operational solution(s).

    • Create test procedures, test cases, test threads, and scenarios to capture measures of effectiveness and performance. Ensure comprehensive testing to validate vendor solutions. Witness test events and document findings.

    • Coordinate engineering reviews for system configurations and operational documentation. Review vendor delivered technical documentation.

    • Write technical requirements, engineering documents, configuration management documents, and troubleshooting processes.

    • Provide systems engineering inputs to acquisition documentation including SOWs, specifications, and government MS C documentation.

    • Knowledge of systems and network security, auditing, and user authentication.

    • Provide reports of vendor software identified defects, assist with prioritization of vendor issues, and conduct configuration control boards and engineering reviews.

    • Support the development of and assessment of RFIs, RFPs, etc., as defined by Government stakeholders.

    • Provide requirements management and system architecture expertise to ensure traceability of requirements and adequate system architecture documentation and provide Risk management to ensure system risks are captured, documented, tracked, and mitigated

    • Provide tracking, management and purchasing support for hardware and software items, assist with development of training support documentation.

    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.

    • Experience administering (installing, configuring, and troubleshooting) systems running in Windows, Linux and VMWare environments.

    • Experience in the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance mission area.

    • Experience with the use and testing of ISR software systems.

    • Understanding of or experience supporting projects with the following technologies: RF Systems, Computing Systems, ISR Sensors, Sensor to Shooter Intelligence Exploitation in support of targeting, SW Development (Python, C#, C+, C++)

    Required Clearance :

    • ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: TS/SCI

    Qualifications :

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, System, Software or Computer Engineering; Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.

    • At least ten (10) years of direct experience performing installation, configuration and troubleshooting of information technology systems is required.

    Travel:

    Less than 10 % travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

    Work Environment:

    This position may be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, commercial and/or government offices, test and integration labs, government facilities and depots, and test & evaluation and proving grounds.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.
