    Insight Global is searching for a Systems Engineer who would be responsible for design and implementation of software and product subsystem components including: user story development, system interfaces, design/test/acceptance of user stories within Agile. These Engineers are working on PowerView and playback products involving developing and maintaining software solutions related to Power View Event Recorders, which is a data acquisition system designed specifically for locomotives. These Engineers will be expected to work with stakeholders and customers. These candidates would be collecting data used by operations to create efficiencies.

    Skills and Requirements

    -5+ years of experience in systems design and development and 2+ years of experience with software development.

    -2+ years of experience with Linux infrastructures, database, as well as programming and/or scripting languages.

    -Experience developing strategic system architecture plans using UML/SysML.

    -Unix/Linux platform experience as functional embedded systems. -Strong experience communicating with customers and internal stakeholders.

    • Rail or locomotive industry exposure.

    • WAN/LAN computer networking.

    • Experience with communication protocols such as TCP/IP, CAN, or Serial bus.
