Systems Engineer - VMWare/Citrix

Job Description

This position will handle general operational, maintenance, and engineering activities for the government customer's infrastructure to include but not limited to the Citrix platform and the VMware suite of products. The contractor shall perform, but not limited to the following:

Design and implement on-premise virtual and cloud based infrastructure solutions

Design and implement disaster recovery solutions using Vmware

Install, configure, and support equipment to include servers, Citrix hardware, and VMware

Ensure all solutions meet Federal and EPA mandates

Physically install system hardware and connect network cables as needed

Monitor and suggest improvements to system performance, capacity, scalability, and security

Provide executive level reports to key OIG stakeholders.

Update hardware firmware and application software

Install operating systems, service packs, security patches and bug fixes

Maintain the VMware environment using Power CLI and PowerShell

Create and maintain the Citrix master images

Enable Single-Sign On for the Citrix environment

Skills and Requirements

Citrix and VMWare expertise

Experience designing and implementing on-premise virtual and cloud based infrastructure solutions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills null
