Tax Analyst (Staff)

Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant will file federal and state tax returns and work with financial and income tax statements, ensuring they comply with tax laws. • Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work

• Participate in educational opportunities, detail oriented organizations, networks, and read detail oriented publications in order to stay up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends

• Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports

• Ensure client compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations

• Assemble tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database

• Provide management with information regarding the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws

• Recommend ways to improve profits and identify legal tax savings

• Identify tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings and create solutions Requirements - CPA highly preferred

• Excellent oral and written communications skills

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required

• 2+ years of public or corporate tax

• Exceptional organizational skills

• Must have excellent time management skills

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
