SAIC is seeking Technical Product Manager to join our energized team as we embark on a large AI initiative for the Department of Defense.

    The Technical Product Manager is responsible for guiding the success of AI and data analytic products and leading a cross-functional team tasked with improving those products to meet the customer's evolving needs. The ideal candidate serves as the business owner for technical products, providing engineering and technical design inputs to develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the users. The Technical Product Manager collaborates with various teams, such as software, architecture, and user experience, to guide the implementation of technical product development to meet user needs.

    Key Re sponsibilities:

    • Serves as the business owner for technical products or initiatives.

    • Defines the product roadmap incorporating feedback from program management and stakeholders.

    • Establishes the product vision and strategy and provides strategic direction and oversight to product development teams.

    • Defines innovation and design goals based on user needs.

    • Understands and analyzes data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems.

    • Tracks and reports on impacts of new products and services or product/service enhancements.

    • Defines opportunities and solution concepts for future innovation.

    • Assesses and addresses technical risks.

    • Plans and manages requirements gathering, pilot design, and pilot execution.

    • Establishes centralized resources for creating, managing, and maintaining products through continuous improvement.

    • Defines success criteria for testing and product acceptance.

    • Leverages user-centered design methods to provide support for technical product development efforts.

    • Executes ideation techniques to engage stakeholders in the design process, including design sprints, technology scouting, crowdsourcing, and component-based design.

    • Provides stakeholder engagement and integration from across the Defense Department, Services, and Combatant Commands.

    • Understands, researches, and follows relevant technical trends in the industry and academia.

    • Addresses security issues.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • U.S. Citizenship.

    • Active Secret security clearance

    • A bachelor's degree in software development, computer science, information systems, product management, or a related field with 14 years experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.

    • Proven work experience as a technical product manager or project manager.

    • Certifications from in product management or technical or engineering-related fields.

    • Extensive knowledge of technical or engineering development process and product management.

    • An ability to manage and participate in daily Scrum and Sprint planning activities.

    • A deep understanding of the product vision, product launch, and other concepts.

    • Knowledge of agile methodology and Minimum Viable Product concepts.

    • Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder communication, including working with cross-functional teams and managing all of them simultaneously.

    • Great interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and research skills.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • A master's degree in in engineering, computer science, or product management, or a related field.

    • Experience with cloud computing infrastructure and platform solutions on at least one of the large Cloud Service Providers (CSP); Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments and across multiple security enclaves or networks.

    • Experience testing and supporting cloud applications.

    • Familiarity with Department of Defense operations, requirements, and organizations.

    Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
