  • Overview

    SOSi is currently looking for an experienced Technical Project Manger to join our team in St. Louis, MO. This individual must have senior knowledge and hands-on experience developing, leading, and implementing software programs using industry best practices and agile methodologies.

    The role requires strong communication skills as the individual will be required to interface with technical leads, project owners and stakeholders on a daily basis. This individual should ensure that agile scrum practices are followed, including but not limited to time logging, peer review, work in progress limits, feature and milestone sizing, velocity, and capacity estimates. The role requires close collaboration with product owners to create and define requirements and acceptance criteria.

    Essential Job Duties

    • Provide technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned projects or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management.

    • Supervise assigned staff, including subordinate supervisors.

    • Participate in developing technical project plans, proposals, reports, task orders and administrative reporting.

    • Perform and audit high level technical services on assigned tasks, such as writing automated testing pipelines maintaining continuous integration of software and continuous delivery of software.

    • Conduct project planning and provide recommendations to client on task workload based on project scope, schedule, and resource availability.

    • Attend customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison.

    • Interact with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the client.

    • Ensure proper software process management and configuration through software/web development lifecycle using modern cloud technologies such as OpenShift, Docker, Jenkins, and AWS.

    • Maintain current knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices relevant to the industry and organization.

    • Generate briefing material for senior leadership regarding project timelines and status.

    • Oversee the development and maintenance of security for multiple cloud environments and systems, including but not limited to AWS, OpenShift.

    • Prioritize project tasks and track the status of internal or external resources applied against each task.

    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to less-experienced staff members on the use of software development methodologies and best practices.

    • Participate in special projects as required.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Active in-scope DOD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance

    • Bachelor's degree in related technical field (or the equivalent years of experience)

    • Minimum of six years of experience to include web services, Java, Database or micro service development and two years of project management

    • Experience and knowledge of full stack development, including programing languages and frameworks (Java, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Django, Spring Boot).

    • Experience providing software process management and configuration management throughout the software/web development lifecycle using modern cloud technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab and Docker

    • Experience working independently with clients or stakeholders conducting interviews, observations, and surveys, to develop user-stories in support of full-service consumer and business applications.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's degree in related technical field (or the equivalent years of experience)

    • 8 years' experience in full stack development to include Java, Web services, Database, and micro-service development.

    • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, to conduct SCRUM/Agile management

    • Experience with CI/CD technologies, test-driven development, DevSecOps and automated testing practices. (Docker, AWS, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bash scripting)

    Work Environment

    • This position is in an environment that is typical of an office setting with some capacity for telework when approved by customer.
